Maintenance
6.1
Photocell disassembly and maintenance
The photocell is fixed to the burner by means of a plastic support.
If it is necessary to remove it for cleaning it is necessary to remove the support.
Ionisation probe (pilot burner)
The pilot burner is fitted with an ionisation system
which ensures that a flame is present.
The minimum current for plant operation is 6 µA.
The burner provides a much higher current, so that
controls are not normally required.
However, if it is necessary to measure the ionisa-
tion current, you must connect to the ionisation probe wire and insert a direct current microamperometer with a base scale of 100
µA. Carefully check polarities.
6.2
Pilot burner disassembly
To dismantle the pilot burner proceed as follows:
• Turn off the gas supply valve.
• Disconnect the air and gas hoses from the pilot burner.
• Remove the cover A from the pilot.
• Unscrew the fixing screws on the probe and electrode and slide
out the two wires.
• Loosen the nuts B of the pilot clamp.
• Slide out the pilot burner.
