Preparation for starting up and adjusting the burner
5.1 Air/fuel adjustment and output modulation system
General information
The air/fuel and power modulation system installed on ER burner series can be:
- LAMTEC ETAMATIC (S) OEM (see the specific instruction manual delivered with the control)
provides, in a single control device, a set of integrated functions ensuring top level energy and operational performance from the
burner, both for single and grouped burners (e.g. boiler with a double combustion chamber or several generators in parallel).
The system includes the following basic functions:
1. The flame safety function and in particular:
- full flame supervision by means of IR prober or UV detection.
- logical burner control sequence with times that can be configured according to the application (within permitted limits);
- lockout log for the last ten events with date, time, code and short description.
2. air and fuels are supplied in correct quantities by positioning the valves by direct servo-control, thus avoiding the possibility of
play typical of systems used for traditional modulating burners, in which settings are obtained by levers and a mechanical cam.
3. burner power is modulated according to the load required by the system, while boiler pressure or temperature is maintained at
set operating values.
4. a facility for continuous, fine correction of air flow according to analysis of fumes carried out on the flue (O
can be used only if a LT2 and LT2KS1 type analyser (optional item) are installed.
Further interfaces and computer communication functions for remote control or integration in centrally supervised systems are
available according to the system's configuration.
The first start-up and all further operations concerning internal settings of the control system or expansion of basic
functions, are accessed with a password and are reserved for technical service personnel specifically trained for
internal programming of the instrument and for the specific application obtained with this burner.
ATTENTION
The manual dedicated to the instrument is supplied when the technical service personnel are trained.
