INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Underarm crutch
Product code: JMC-C 2005

1. Characteristics

The underarm crutch consists of durable, aluminium leg with rubber
tip, soft crutch pad, and adjustable handgrip. Owing to wide range of
adjustment, the crutch can be used either by short or tall patients.
Ergonomic shape and universal size make the crutch comfortable in
use.

2. Application

The underarm crutch is ancillary equipment which is used in case of
lower limb injury with simultaneous injuries of wrist or elbow. It is also
recommended to patients who need help and support while walking
for gait re-education after lower limb injuries, and it can also be used
as an aid in keeping balance in case of serious dysfunctions of lower
limbs or trunk.
Contraindications: coordination and balance disorders, advanced
rheumatic changes, injuries and dysfunctions of upper limbs which may
hinder the user to support on the crutch.

  • Page 2 3. Adjustment The crutch should be adjusted individually to the user so that the shoulder joints are not excessively raised. Adjust the height of the handgrip so that your elbow is slightly bent at the angle of approximately 30°. • To adjust the crutch, press the metal pin and select appropriate position of the inner tube.
