Connector for ethernet connection is on unit rear side and has two signalization diodes:
Location
Communication with the unit can be easily tested from a computer using internet browser, by
entering address http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX, where XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is actual IP address of the
unit.
Current setting can be found in v Menu/Info/Ethernet.
6.4.1.1.
DHCP/STATIC IP
The choice of DHCP enables automatic setting of connecting parameters (IP address,
Subnet mask, Default gateway) in the network, where this function is supported. Address allocation
may last several seconds. Actual connecting parameters may be read on display in
Menu/Info/Ethernet.
The choice of STATIC IP enables hand setting of connecting parameters as described in
following chapters. This choice is convenient for direct connection to PC (i.e. using cable/switch)
without further connection to another network. It is necessary to set up on the unit and also on PC
using suitable connecting parameters (e.g. ECD2000: IP=192.168.91.20, MASK=255.255.255.0
and PC: IP=192.168.91.1, MASK=255.255.255.0).
Caution:
When using static IP address in corporate network, always contact network
administrator to avoid network collisions!
Default setting is automatic parameters setting using DHCP, which enables easier primary
connection. Still it is necessary to contact network administrator, if you are in corporate network, to
ensure permanence of connecting parameters in time.
