INTRODUCTION
This document details the process to overcome a Waste Ink Tank Full or Nearly Full Error message on the
DM100i series Mailing System.
PROCESS- WASTE TANK NEARLY FULL ERROR MESSAGE
1.
A Waste Tank Nearly Full Message Displays.
Press Continue to go to the Home Screen.
2.
Enter Diagnostic Mode by keying in the code, 6946 and pressing the Add Postage key.
3.
Select Diagnostics.

  • Page 3 The message; 'Are you sure you want to reset the Waste Ink Tank flag? (Yes or No)' will display. Press the green Yes/Enter button. Waste Ink Tank flag reset will display. Select Press to Restart A message 'Initialising' will display. Wait a few seconds and the message will automatically clear on completion and take you back to the Home Screen.

  • Page 6 Select Replace Ink Tank. You will be prompted to Open Cover to start replacement. Open the cover and the Ink Tank will move forwards. Close the Cover. The Home screen will display (after a short delay). Enter Diagnostic Mode by keying in the code, 6946 and pressing the Add Postage key. Select Diagnostics.
  • Page 7 NOTE: If the customer cannot enter DIagnostic mode, return to the start of the procedure and ask customer to remove the Print Head and Ink Cartridge at Select Replace Ink Tank (Step 7). After they have done this they must remove power cable, to switch off, open the top cover and replace Printhead and Ink Cartridge.
