This manual is written to help you understand safe operating procedures and problems that can be encountered by the operator and other personnel when using this equipment. Read and save these instructions. As owner or operator, you are responsible for understanding the requirements, hazards, and precautions that exist and to inform others as required.
1. Safety Cautionary Symbols Definitions Cautionary symbols appear in this manual and on product decals. The symbols alert the user of potential safety hazards, prohibited activities and mandatory actions. To help you recognize this information, we use the symbols that are defined below. This symbol indicates an imminently hazardous situation DANGER which, if not avoided, will result in serious injury or death.

Decals The safety decals on your equipment are safety indicators which must be carefully read and understood by all personnel involved in the installation, operation, service and maintenance of the equipment. 3. Installation Installing the Slide Gate 1. Insert the slide (14) into the transfer plate (12). Install the slide shield (15) to the transfer plate (12) using two 5/16" x 1" truss head screws (4) and 5/16" hex nuts (11). (See Figure 3E.) NOTE: Make sure the slide (14) is in operating position.
3. Installation Installing the New Boot and Transfer Plate NOTE: Installation of the boot is the same whether the tank has the standard collar or the Sure-Flo Feed Flow Control. 1. Slide the boot (27) as far as possible into the tank collar (32) or the Sure-Flo Feed Flow Control opening.

3. Installation 2. While passing the chain for the slide gate (14), use the middle hole in the rain cover (28) for a single slide gate (29). For double slide gates (30), use the outer two holes and pass one chain through each one of these outer holes.

Place the two door clamps (17) to the inside of the unloader assembly (23) and secure the door clamps (17) to the access door (16) using 5/16"-18 x 1-1/2"...
3. Installation Feed Tank Collar The standard bulk feed tank is supplied with a 16'' (40.64 cm) hopper opening. If needed, 22'' (55.88 cm) hopper openings are also available. Consult the dealer for specific ordering instructions. Adjusting the Restrictor Tube IMPORTANT: The restrictor may be adjusted to allow more feed flow.
3. Installation Straight-Through Tandem Installation The straight-through tandem system should be installed the same as a single tank system with the following exceptions: 1. Mount the boots on both tanks and the single or twin-out unloader as instructed. 2. Install the baffle plates as shown in Figure 3.
