When a power cut or water outage occurs
If a power cut or water outage occurs, water will stop owing in the toilet. Respond to the problem
according to the circumstances as follows.
When the power is cut
Flushing the toilet when there is a power cut
Press the ush panel button to ush the toilet with water.
(1) Press the ush panel button.
The toilet ushing starts.
When there is a water outage
Fill a large bucket with water (about eight litres) and pour it into the centre of the toilet bowl and ush.
When doing this, be careful not to allow water to over ow out of the toilet bowl.
Add water if the water level in the toilet bowl is low after
ushing.
This blocks odours from the toilet plumbing.
Pour into the centre of the toilet bowl and ush.
If there is a water outage, turn automatic ushing off.
Turning off the automatic flushing
Place newspaper or another absorbent material around the toilet to prevent the oor from
becoming wet.

Preparation for freezing conditions
Keep the toilet warm, so that the temperature stays above freezing. If this is not possible, drain the
water.
If you worry that the water might freeze, follow these procedures to prevent damage to the NEOREST.
If the NEOREST freezes, it might suffer damage and water leaks could occur.
Attention!
Before conducting these procedures to prevent freezing, turn
toilet seat and close the lid.
Draining the water

Close the water shut-off valve.

Drain the water from the NEOREST pipes.
(1) Press
and extend the wand, and then press
(This removes the pressure in the water pipes.)
(2) Remove the cover panel (left).

(3) Use a at-blade screwdriver to loosen the drain
valve with built-in water lter and then pull it out.
CAUTION
Do not detach the drain valve with built-
in water lter while the water shut-off
valve is still open.
Prohibited
Doing so will cause water to spill.
(4) After draining the water, insert the drain valve with
built-in water lter and use a at-blade screwdriver
to tighten it thoroughly.

Thoroughly tighten the drain valve with
built-in water lter.
Failure to do so could cause a water

Do not use the Energy Saver. The NEOREST could be damaged if the water freezes when the
heaters are turned off.
