agent.
Compliance with the IEC 60364-7-701 (DIN VDE 0100
Part 701) must be observed during installation of the

valid national regulations, the electrical operating
conditions of the local electricity and water supply
services must be complied with.
Only connect the appliance to a correctly earthed
electrical socket.
Do not use extension cables.
The connection cable may only be exchanged and
extended by customer service.
During installation, an all-pole separator must be fitted
with a minimum contact gap of 3 mm.
Caution: Earthed water pipes may give the appearance of
a connected protective earth.
The water tank can be used both as an open
(unpressurized) tank and a closed (pressurized) tank. The
taps must be approved for operation.
In the event of closed operation, the safety valve must be

Preparations for installation

The appliance and the respective water pipes and
components may only be installed in a frost-free room.
II.
Wall mounting (Fig. B)
A special supporting structure may be necessary when
installing the appliance on a light-weight wall.
After mounting the tank, use the adjustable screws to
vertically align the tank.
A mounting template is printed on the appliance
packaging to facilitate installation.
Use suitable screws with at least Ø 8 mm (supplied)
III.
Supply of water
Use detachable connections only.
Closed circuit operation (pressure-resistant) (Fig. C)
This tank can be used to supply several taps.
A type-tested diaphragm-type safety valve
B manometer test nozzle
C check valve
D test device for check valve
E pressure reducing valve
F stop valve
G tap fittings
H drain valve
Important: The standards and regulations and/or
properties of the water tank and the accessory parts differ
from country to country and must be observed
accordingly.
Rinse the water pipes thoroughly to remove impurities and
contaminants before connecting the taps.
Install the appliance in the vicinity of the tap at which most
warm water is taken.
Install a safety valve combination.
If the permissible water pressure is exceeded (see table
with Technical data), an additional pressure-reduction
valve must be installed and set accordingly.
Install the pressure reduction valve away from the tank.
Do not install a cut-off valve between the safety
assemblies and the tank.
An outlet must be installed under the safety valve as
expansion water can drip from the valve.
The safety valve outlet must always be open.
The safety valve combination must be authorized for
closed (pressurized) operation (type-tested).
If the safety valve is not directly situated before an outlet,
an outlet pipe with a continuous downwards tilt must be
fitted.
Note: According to the energy conservation regulations,
the temperature in pipes may not exceed 60 °C if the
length of the warm water pipes exceeds 5 m.
