DESCRIPTION

Header with Single Roll Condioner

FIG. 2
FIG. 2: A rotary header is used to cut the crop, condition
the crop, and put the crop into a swath or windrow. A
rotary header permits increased windrowing speed and
crop capacity.
The header height is adjusted with the header angle
cylinder connected to the center link (1). The header skid
shoes (2), or optional gauge rollers also help control
header height and flotation.
As the machine passes over the crop, the curtains (3) are
moved upward and the cutterbed (4) contacts the crop.
The knives on the rotating discs (5) cut the crop and the
crop is fed directly into the hay conditioner.
