    1. DESCRIZIONE DELL’APPARECCHIO Introduzione Questa è una stazione radio da 25/1 watt alimentata a 13.8 VDC. Questa radio può supportare la funzione DSC (Digital Selective Call) grazie ad una speciale unità DSC conforme allo standard ITU- R, M493- 10. Se collegato ad un GPS, può visualiz- zare la posizione (longitudine e latitudine) dell’imbarcazione.

FUNZIONI DI BASE 4.1 Trasmissione e ricezione ATTENZIONE: Trasmettere senza un’antenna può danneggiare la radio. 1� Dopo che la radio è stata installata, assicurarsi che l’alimentazione e l’antenna siano collegate correttamente. 2� Ruotare la manopola del VOLUME/POWER in senso orario per accendere la radio e selezionare il livello di volume desiderato.

    Chiamata selettiva digitale Generale La chiamata selettiva digitale, DSC, è un metodo semi automatico per stabi- lire un collegamento radio ed è stato concepito dall’Organizzazione Marit- tima Internazionale (IMO), come standard internazionale per comunicazioni radio in VHF, MF HF. È stata concepita, inoltre, in parte dal Sistema di Soccorso e Sicurezza Marittimo Globale (GMDSS).

    5.2.1 Inviare una chiamata di soccorso Nota: Solo avendo un codice identificativo MMSI della propria radio ed essendo abilitati a inviare trasmissioni DSC è possibile inviare una trasmissione di questo tipo. Per inserire il proprio codice MMSI, vedere paragrafo 6.8.1. Aprire la protezione con etichetta rossa DISTRESS.

    Ruotare la manopola CH per selezionare : SAFETY, premere la manopola CH per confermare l’invio a tutte le barche. Una volta inviata la chiamata, l’area dello schermo mostra momentaneamen- te il messaggio di chiamata a tutte le imbarcazioni. E poi la radio ritorna alla funzione normale di VHF sul canale 16 ad alta potenza.

    Premere di nuovo la manopola CH, si accede al manuale, inserire ID sullo schermo, inserire il numero MMSI, terminato l’inserimento premere la mano- pola CH per confermare la selezione. Ruotare la manopola CH per selezionare il canale in uso e premere la ma- nopola CH per confermare la selezione.

    5.2.4.3 Conferma ricevuta chiamata individuale in arrivo Se INDIV REPLY (risposta individuale) è impostato sulla modalità MANUAL, la radio richiederà all’utente di inviare manualmente una conferma di rice- vuta alla radio richiedente. Premere il tasto CH per inviare la conferma o il tasto CANCEL per annullarla.

    Se impostato sulla risposta manuale, la funzione procede come segue: POS REQUEST PRESS ENTER FROM TO SEND ID 450878967 OR CANCEL 12:22 UTC TO DECLINE Quando si riceve la chiamata di richiesta posizione, suona un allarme (beep) e lo schermo s’illumina. Premere il tasto CH per trasmettere la propria posizione, ora e informazioni.

    5.3.2 Ricevere conferma di soccorso dalla stazione costiera Quando si riceve una conferma di chiamata di soccorso, la stazione radio automaticamente si sintonizza sul canale 16 e il segnale di allarme suona. Premendo qualsiasi tasto si disattiva l’allarme. Se i dati della posizione sono inclusi nel segnale, essi vengono visualizzati nell’area di testo dello schermo.

    5.3.5 Ricevere una chiamata di gruppo Quando si riceve una chiamata di gruppo, il segnale di allarme suona, la stazione radio automaticamente si sintonizza sul canale desiderato. Premere qualsiasi tasto per spegnere l’allarme. Rimanere in ascolto sul canale di traffico per ricevere l’annuncio dell’imbar- cazione che sta chiamando.

    La funzione manuale di inserimento dati è valida solo e solamente se nessun GPS è collegato. Selezionare GPS/TIME quindi manuale. Inserire la latitudine, poi la longitudine, poi l’UTC. Premere la manopola CH, quando tutte la informazioni sono corrette. La lat./long. dell’imbarcazione con l’ora UTC sono visualizzati sullo schermo. Le impostazioni manuali verranno cancellate se una reale posizione viene ricevuta dal GPS.

    6.8.2 Gestione Dei Gruppi Si possono programmare fino a tre gruppi di numeri MMSI ed associare nomi di gruppi, i numeri dei gruppi MMSI iniziano sempre con un zero (0). Si inseriscono solo le ultime 8 cifre del numero ID del gruppo, lo “0” iniziale si inserisce in automatico. 6.8.2.1 Inserire i propri gruppi Selezionare GROUP MMSI a premere CH.

    6.8.3 Risposta individuale Si può rispondere a chiamate individuali in entrata con una risposta automatica o manuale. Selezionare DSC SET UP, poi INDIV.     1. EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION Introduction Base Station Radio with output power of 25/1 watt. It should be powered by a 13.8VDC power supply. The radio can support DSC (Digital Selective Calling) operation with specially designed DSC unit, which meets the standard of ITU-R, M493-10. BASIC OPERATION 4.1 Trasmissione e ricezione Caution: Transmitting without an antenna may damage the radio. 1� After the radio has been installed, make sure of the power supply and antenna being properly connected. 2� To rotate the VOLUME/POWER knob clockwise turn on the radio and select a comfortable volume level.

    4.3.3 MEM Channels delete Delete the channel from the MEM list at Normal mode. Select the target channel with icon ON. Press and hold the BAND/SAVE key till the icon turn OFF. The target channel will then be deleted out from the MEM list. Repeat the keystroke operation for those unwanted channels.

    Digital selective calling General DSC (Digital Selective Calling) is a semi-automated method of establishing a radio call, it has been designated by the International Maritime Organi- zation (IMO) as an international standard for establishing VHF, MF and HF radio calls. It had also been designated part of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS).
