Set a fixed IP address
Step 1
Choose Start > Control Panel > Network and
Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
Step 2
Choose Change Adapter Settings > Local Area
Connection. Right-click Local Area Connection, and
choose Properties.

Double-click
(TCP/IPv4).
Step 4
Select Use the following IP address, set the IP
address on the network segment of 192.168.1.x (x can
be any number from 2 to 255), and then click OK to go
back to the previous page.
