1.3 Installation

Set up the printer as follows.

1.3.1 Connecting the interface cable

1) Make sure both the printer and host PC are OFF.
2) Connect the interface cable to the interface connector on the printer. Lock the
connector clips.
3) Connect the other end of the interface cable to the host PC.

1.3.2 Connecting the power supply

1) Connect the power cord to the AC adaptor, then plug the AC power plug into a wall
outlet.
2) Press the printer POWER button. The printer beeper sounds and the power lamp
blinks.
3) After the printer has initialized itself, the carriage moves to the left for the BJ
cartridge to be installed.

2. Connect the cable to the computer
