Maintenance

Before performing any maintenance operations or mechanical adjustments on the tool, put on heavy-duty
work shoes, protective gloves and goggles.
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and intellectual
qualifications as defined by the employer.
Extraordinary maintenance operations (e.g. dismantling the gearbox or the control electronics) or repairs must be per-
formed by a mechanical or electric/electronic maintenance technician.
Disconnect the tool from the power supply before any adjustment or maintenance.
Unauthorised personnel must keep at least 2 metres away from the tool during maintenance or repair operations.
Only qualified mechanical or electric/electronic maintenance engineers are authorised to deactivate the safety
devices (where present) when extraordinary maintenance is to be performed. It is their responsibility to safeguard the
operators and the tool. The safety devices should be activated as soon as maintenance work has been completed.
All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at the Manufacturer's Authorised Ser-
vice Centres.
When maintenance or repairs have been completed, the tool can be started again only if duly authorised by a me-
chanical or electric/electronic maintenance technician, who must make sure that:

work has been completed;
-
the equipment works perfectly;
-
the safety devices are activated;
-
no one is working on the equipment.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

3.1

Product identification

The identification CE plate/label (Figure 1) is applied to each machine/tool.
The model, serial number and year of manufacture are shown on the manufacturer's CE plate and affixed on the ma-
chine. The CE plate is applied on the machine/tool and shows the data and symbols described below:
1) Conformity marking according to directive 2006/42/EC.
2) Company name and complete address of the manufacturer.
3) The compulsory requirement for all personnel in charge of use and/or maintenance of the tool to read the use and
maintenance manual.
4) Tool designation.
5) Type of tool - Type/code designation of the tool.
6) Serial number.
7) Year of manufacture, i.e. the year in which the manufacturing process was concluded.
8) Information pursuant to Directive "WEEE" 2012/19/EU: Electric and electronic waste may contain hazardous
substances for the environment and human health and therefore must not be disposed of with domestic
waste, they must be collected in dedicated collection centres.
9) Tool supply voltage (only for battery powered electrically supplied tools).
