WARNING
NEVER place your hands on or near the pump
suction inlet. Powerful suction could cause serious
bodily injury.
Flush the Pump Before Using
This pump was tested in water containing an oil–based
rust inhibitor. If this solution could contaminate or react
negatively with the fluid you are pumping, flush the pump
thoroughly with a compatible solvent.
Starting and Adjusting the Pump
Place the suction tube in the fluid to be pumped. Place
the transfer hose in the appropriate container. Be sure all
fittings are securely tightened. Open the bleed–type
master air valve (A). Slowly open the air control valve (P)
until the pump just starts to cycle. Allow the pump to cycle
slowly until all air has been pushed out of the lines. Then
open the air control valve only as far as necessary to get
the desired results.

OPERATION

NEVER exceed 8 bar (120 psi) air supply pressure
to the pump. Read the warning section
MENT MISUSE HAZARD on page 2.
If your pump accelerates quickly or is running too fast,
stop it immediately. A dry pump will quickly accelerate to
a high speed and may damage itself. If the supply con-
tainer is empty, refill it and prime the pump, being sure to
remove all air from the pump and lines, or flush the pump.
Shutdown and Care of the Pump
To shut of f the pump, close the bleed–type master air
valve (A) and close the air control valve (P).
If the fluid you are pumping tends to dry or set up when it
is not moving, flush the pump as often as necessary to
prevent the fluid from drying in the pump. Drain the pump
thoroughly before storing it.
