Installing the E cartridge
The first time you set up the FAXPHONE, you have to install the BX-3 BJ FAX
cartridge before you can begin receiving and copying documents.

page. If the majority of your printed output is graphics, you may need to change the

I To ensure optimum print quality. Canon recomntends the use of thc
cartridges dcsignatcd by Canon. Canon accepts no liability or rcsponsi-
bility fbr damagcs causcd by the use of any cartridge other than those
designated by Canon.
I Canon makes nurnerous ink cartridges; the BX-3 BJ FAX cartridge is
the onlv one designed to be used with the FAXPHONE 8540/550.
