I Using the Distinctive Ring Pattern Detection (DRPD) feature

Use the DRPD f'eaturc if you subscribe to a DRP service off'ered by youl telephone
company. The DRP scrvice allows you to have two or more telephonc numbers as-
signcd to a single telephone line. You can then use the DRPD f'eature on vour
FAXPHONE to autonratically receive faxes in response to one phone numbcr and ring
in response to the other phone nurrber by detecting the diffbrent ring pattern.
Receiving documents over a dedicated fax line
The FAXPHONE is set up at the tactory fbr both tax transmission and tclephone calls.
If yoLr have a de dicatcd lax line. you need to set the FAXPHONE lbr dcdicated rcceir'-
lng.
I Setting up the FAXPHONE for dedicated receiving
When you set the FAXPHONE fbr dedicated recciving. the unit picks up each call and
automatically treats the call as a fax transmission.
The FAXPHONE cannot receive automatically if you are nlaking copies. printing rc-
ports. or registering inlbrmation. See pg.73.
If you have a separate phone line fbr your FAXPHONE. fbllow thesc steps:
