Second Photo to comment above. First is the photo inside my car showing todays date. This photo shows the roadcam back at time and date set up,which comes on when I turn on car, and reverts back to this even after i finally sync it through the Yada app. When I turn off car it goes right back to date and time set up and not showing the current date and time. Won't stay on roadcam when driving.

If your Yada 4K Roadcam Pro does not retain the current date and time after syncing with the app, go to the camera settings and manually set the date and time.

Hello! I received a Yada Roadcam for Christmas. I have made several attempts to sync it with my car and phone using you app. I will get it to connect and then sync up, the date and time changes to what is in my phone. And so I think I **** all good. Half way down the road it goes off road cam and goes back to date and time set up. This has been happening continually since I got it for Christmas. I give up! Don't know what else to do. I have followed the manual, youtube video on Yada and nothing is resolving this issue, it won't stay synced, goes back to date and time setting.

@Brenda Sullivan I have the same issue. It keeps resetting to the 01 01 2021 date and the time needs to be reset as well. I keep referring to the manual but in thevFAQ there is nothing about this.

To fix the syncing issue with the Yada 4K Roadcam Pro that keeps resetting the date and time, you can try the following steps:

1. Download and install the YADA Drive app on a compatible smartphone (iPhone 4s or later, iPad 3 or later, iPod touch 5th gen or later with iOS 9.0 or higher, or Android 5.0 or higher).
2. Use the auto-sync function in the app to connect and sync the camera with your smartphone.
3. Set the correct date and time manually in the camera settings if auto-sync does not resolve the issue.

This process helps the camera retain accurate date and time settings.

To resolve the syncing issue with your Yada 4K Roadcam Pro that causes the date and time to reset, follow these steps:

1. Set the Date and Time Manually: Access the camera settings by pressing and holding the "M" button in camera mode. Navigate to the "Date/Time" option and set the current date and time.

2. Ensure Proper App Setup: Download and install the YADA Drive app compatible with your smartphone (iOS 9.0 or higher, or Android 5.0 or higher). Use the app to sync the device settings, which may help retain the date and time.

3. Check Firmware Version: Verify the firmware version in the settings. If outdated, update the firmware through the app or as instructed in the manual to resolve potential bugs.

4. Reset to Default Settings: If the issue persists, use the "Default Setting" option in the camera’s settings to reset all settings to their defaults and reconfigure.

5. Inspect Power Supply: Ensure the camera is receiving consistent power, as interruptions may cause it to reset.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, contact YADA customer service for further assistance.

@Julie M REMME there’s a button on the mounting base that allows you to detach the camera. It’s n the front/windshield side. Depress it an pull the camera downward.

The document does not provide specific instructions on how to remove the Yada 4K Roadcam Pro from its holder. However, since it mentions that the windshield mount inserts into a socket on top of the Roadcam, you would likely need to gently pull the camera upward from the mount socket to detach it. Avoid force to prevent damage.
