– <Value>, you set a reference value using <Ref>, see step 24,
– <First Sample>, the first sample of the stability function is selected as the
reference value,
– <Channel 1>, the value that Channel 1 measures is updated as the reference
value for each set of power measurements (thus, each data value for
channel 1 will be 0 dB), and
press Enter.
N O TE
These settings have an effect when you choose <dB> as the <Pwr unit>. See
step 7 or step 22.
24 If you have chosen <Value> as the <Ref Mode>, move to <Ref>, press Enter,
enter a value for the reference, and press Enter.

Viewing the Statistics for a Power Meter Channel

25 If you are using the Agilent 8164A, move to [Stat Ch.], press Enter, move to a
Power Meter channel, and press Enter.
If you are using the Agilent 8163A, press [More], the screen in Figure 134
appears, move to [Stat Ch.], press Enter, move to a Power Meter channel, and
press Enter.

26 The following statistics are displayed for the chosen Power Meter channel:
– [min], the minimum power measurement measured,
– [max], the maximum power measurement measured,
– [avg], the average of all power measurements measured,
– [
P], the difference between [max] and [min],
