Switching Off The Machine - SAB JOLLY Instruction Manual

Turn the general switch (fig.1.4) from position 2 to position 0.
Note:
If the espresso machine Jolly is not used for a longer time, it has to be switched off, disconnected from
electrical supply and water mains. The boiler must be completely emptied. The machine has to be carefully drained
and stored in a dry location which is inaccessible to minors.
The machine must be dismantled by an authorized technician according local law and jurisdiction.
To allow the proper machine's operation, follow the maintenance instructions indicated below.
Important Safety rules

Do not subject the machine to a water jet. Do not immerse the machine in water for cleaning.

Disconnect the machine from the power line, bringing the lever of the omni polar switch of the electric
system in idle position "0" and close the water shut-off valve prior to perform maintenance and/or
cleaning operations.

In case of failure of the machine, avoid any type of repair without assistance and immediately consult the
technical assistance service.

In case the feeder cord is damaged, immediately switch off the machine, close the water and con- tact the
technical assistance service. Avoid substituting it without assistance.

Perform cleaning/maintenance operations when the machine is cold, preferably wearing protective gloves
for hands.
The following operations at user's care are necessary, in order to get the best efficiency from
your espresso machine JOLLY and have its look unchanged:
Daily cleaning of the equipment
The manufacturer recommends the following at the end of each working day.
- Clean showers, group gaskets, group flange with a brush.
- Wash filters and filter handles in warm water adding a special detergent product (for use with coffee machines).
- Put the filter holder with the blind filter in the coffee delivery group and press the button
for semiautomatic coffee production "A". Switch it off after 15 seconds. Remove the filter holder and
take the blind filter out. (There are special products for coffee machine's group cleaning. Using these products
please follow manufacturer's instructions. Do always rinse intensively after cleaning. Ask your distributor if
product is approved by).
- Clean the cups tray and grid without removing the tray from the machine.
