Calibration Overview
User Calibrations—Optical and Electrical
NOTE
The optical channel calibration accuracy is heavily dependent on the accuracy to which
you know the optical source power. For best results, measure the optical source power
with an optical power meter such as the Agilent 8153A and use precision optical con-
nectors. In addition, proper connector cleaning procedures are essential to obtaining an
accurate calibration.
To perform an O/E user-wavelength calibration
1 Press the plug-in module's front-panel optical channel SETUP key.
2 Press Calibrate, and then O/E cal.
3 Input the correct wavelength, and follow the instructions on the screen.
