Status Mode
The display enters Status mode after power up or a
reset. It scrolls "ADTRAN HDSL2" and then
alternately displays loop margin for the HDSL2 loop,
any active alarm condition, and general status
conditions.
The HDSL2 loop margin is displayed with the
message "MARG" then "xx," where "xx" is the
HDSL2 loop margin (0-20). The loop margin is held
on the display for two seconds. The loop margin will
not be displayed if the loop is in startup or DSL LOS
condition.
If any of the conditions listed in Table 3 are present,
the messages for those conditions will be displayed
for two seconds each after the loop margins.
Display Off Mode
The display enters Display Off Mode from Status
Mode after five minutes with no activity on the
display button. While in this mode, the display is
completely Off.
The display will return to Status Mode under the
following conditions:
• Either MODE or SELECT is activated.
• A message other than loop margin is to be
displayed.

Provisioning, View, Default, and Loopback
Mode
The provisioning, view, default, or loopback mode is
entered from the Status Mode after the MODE button
is acticated. As soon as the MODE button is activated
the display message will cycle through to "STAT,"
"PROV," "VIEW," "DFLT," and "LPBK."
Activating the button to the SELECT position will
cause one of these modes to be entered.
NOTE
At any point in the menu tree, holding the
MODE button for three seconds will cause the
display to go back one level in the menu tree.
Provisioning Mode
In this mode, the display alternates between the
selected configuration parameters and the current
setting for that parameter. Press the SELECT button
to choose the option to be changed. The current
setting will appear on the display. Use the MODE
button to scroll through the possible settings. After the
desired setting appears, press SELECT to choose that
setting. The message "SAVE" will appear on the
display followed by the default response "NO." If
you wish to revert to the original setting, then press
the SELECT button. If you wish to choose the new
setting, then press the MODE button. The message
"YES" will appear, then press the SELECT button to
choose the new setting. The display will return to
alternating between the option name and the current
setting for that option. Use the MODE button to scroll
through the remaining options.
