2.4 Perform Tool Changes
WARNING: For safety, it is best practice when installing an end mill or performing tool changes to
first disable the BitRunner V2 via the control pendant, then to power off the router.
1. When the G-code reaches a tool-change command (M6) Carbide Motion will pause the job, cut
power to the router, and alert you that it's time to change the tool.
2. Press the control pendant button to disable the BitRunner V2 (button LED will turn off).
3. Flip the power switch on the router to the OFF position.
4. Change the end mill.
5. Flip the power switch on the router to the ON position.
6. Press the control pendant button again to re-enable the BitRunner V2 (button LED will turn on).
7. In Carbide Motion, click the Resume button to resume cutting. Carbide Motion will continue cutting
until it's time to perform another tool change, load the next G-code file, or until the project is done.
