8 CLR (clear) button/lamp
Pressing this button recalls the previous settings. The
lamp is lit while the button is held down.
When the DEST and LEVEL lamps are not lit: The
currently selected source name appears in the
preset display window.
When the DEST lamp is lit: The currently selected
destination name appears in the preset display
window.
When the LEVEL lamp is lit: The level set on the
control terminal is restored.
9 TAKE button
Pressing this button registers a setting, as described
below.
•Selects the source displayed in the preset display
window.
•Selects the destination displayed in the preset display
window as the controlled destination
•Registers the selected level
0 LEVEL indicators
The indicators for the selectable levels light in green,
and those for not selectable levels light in amber.
The indicators for the levels which are set to not
selectable with the control terminal goes out.
!¡ DEST (destination) button/lamp
Press and light the button, and the destination name in
the display window becomes bright. While the DEST
lamp is lit, you may select a destination using the
SELECTOR knob or the select buttons (in type-
number selection).
When you press the button while it is lit, the button
goes out.
!™ LEVEL button/lamp
Press and light the button, and the upper eight select
buttons work as level select buttons. When you press
this button, the select buttons of the controllable levels
for the currently selected destination are lit in bright
green. The other level select buttons which are set to
be controllable on the control terminal are lit in bright
amber, and the buttons set not to be controllable are lit
in dim green.
When you press a level select button, the level name
corresponding to the pressed button appears in the
preset display window. To register the selected level,
press the TAKE button. The LEVEL indicator
corresponding to the registered level lights in bright
green. The dim green indicators go out.
To restore the initial-setting status, press and light the
LEVEL lamp and then press the CLR button.
Note
The BKS-R3210 has two level select modes; multi-
level mode and single-level mode, and the desired
mode is set on the control terminal. In multi-level
mode, each time you press the level select button, the
level corresponding the pressed button is turned on or
off, and multiple levels can be selected. In single-level
mode, the level corresponding to the button pressed
last is selected.
!£ ~AC IN (AC power input) connector
Connect to an AC power source using the designated
AC power cord.
!¢ POWER switch
Set the switch to the I position to turn the power on.
When power is supplied to the unit, the unit executes a
ROM checksum test, RAM write test and the button
lamp and indicator lighting test, then enters
communication mode. The currently selected source
and destination names appear in the display window
when status display mode is selected.
!∞ REMOTE 1 connector (BNC connector)
Connect to the S-BUS line using the T bridge
(supplied) and 75-ohm coaxial cable (BELDEN 8281
or equivalent).
!§ y (ground) connector
For signal grounding
!¶ STATION ID switches
Set the station number to each unit used on the S-BUS
line. Designate the station number using a number
from 2 to 254.
Note
Do not assign the same number to two or more units in
a routing system.

Station Number" in "Preparations."

To connect an RS-422 communication line.
