9. Wire Connections Step 9: Referring to the yellow labels on each connector, plug the 6-pin connectors into the X, Z, and E axis motors and the 3-pin connectors into the X and Z Limit Switches. Check the Voltage Switch and set it to your local main voltage, if necessary. Plug one end of the AC Power Cord into the Power Socket, then plug the other end into a nearby AC power outlet.

10. Bed Leveling Step 10a: Check the Build Plate to ensure that it is steady. If it is unsteady, use the Open-End Wrench to tighten the V wheels until the Build Plate is steady. Step 10b: From the Home screen, touch the Control button to get to the Control screen. Touch the Auto home option to move the Extruder to the home position.

Step 10c: Move the Extruder so that it is directly over the front left leveling nut. Insert a piece of printer paper between the nozzle and the build plate. Adjust the leveling nut so that there is a slight amount of resistance when moving the paper. If the nozzle cannot be moved close enough to the build plate, adjust the Z-axis Limit Switch.
OPERATION Preheating Before filament can be loaded, the printer must be preheated to the proper temperature for the type of filament being used. This DIY kit includes a sample roll of PLA filament, so this step assumes the use of PLA filament. Touch the Control button on the Home Screen to display the Control Menu, then touch the Preheat PLA option.

If you want to change the default temperatures for PLA filament, perform the following steps. 1. From the Home Screen touch the Setting option. 2. Touch the Temperature option. 3. Touch the Preheat PLA settings option to show the settings for the PLA Nozzle Temperature, PLA Bed Temperature, and PLA Fan Speed options.
Loading Filament 1. Place the filament on the Spool Holder. For best results, use a pair of scissors or diagonal cutters to diagonally snip the end of the filament to make a point, as shown in the image to the right. 2.

4. From the Home Screen, touch the Control option, then touch the Automatic Load option. Wait for the filament to extrude from the Extruder, then touch the Back option to stop feeding filament and return to the previous Control Menu.
Start Printing 1. Insert the included microSD™ into the microSD card slot on the front of the printer. 2. From the Home Screen, touch the Print option to display a list of files on the microSD card. Touch one of the filenames to begin printing that model.
3. If you notice that the distance between the Nozzle and the Build Plate, touch the Settings button, then touch the Z-offset option to adjust the Z-offset. When the offset value is positive, the Nozzle is farther from the Build Plate. When the value is negative, the Nozzle is closer to the Build Plate.
