Cleaning Performance
Vacmaster vacuum cleaners are tested for endurance. If your motor is operating, then the most
likely cause for a loss in suction is a blockage or an opening in the vacuum.
To maintain a high cleaning performance from your machine, it is important to replace or clean
filters as necessary. Empty full dust cup to prevent performance drops. A performance drop with
clean filters can only be caused by a blockage in the tools or the hose.
PROBLEM
Vacuum cleaner
will not run.
Dirt pick-up is poor
or suction power is
weak.

TROUBLESHOOTING

POSSIBLE CAUSE
The plug is not plugged into the
power source.
The On/Off switch is not pressed
to start the vacuum cleaner.
Motor overheating protection
during use.
Functional fault in the power cord,
switch, or motor.
Defective wall outlet.
Full or clogged dust bin.
Filters need cleaning.
The flexible hose is worn.
The brushroll is worn.
The foam and felt filters are dirty
or worn.
There is a clog in the flexible hose
or connection hose of the vacuum
cleaner.
Plug in firmly, press the On/Off switch
to "I" or "II" position.
Press the On/Off switch to "I" or "II"
position.
Unplug the power cord and let the
vacuum cool down for 50 minutes
before restarting it for use.
Have the damaged part checked by
qualified personnel or contact the
after sales helpline.
Check with a good appliance or lamp.
Be sure the power cord plug is fully
plugged into a good wall outlet.
Empty the dust bin (page 11).
Follow filter cleaning instructions on
page 11&12.
Replace the hose. Contact the after
sales helpline.
Contact the after sales helpline for
assistance.
Clean the foam and felt filters.
Replace if they are worn or broken.
Follow instructions on page 12.
Check and remove all clogs. Follow
instructions on page 13.
