Dynamic guide lines in the camera image show
the path the vehicle will take with the steering
wheel in its current position. This helps you to
orient yourself and to avoid obstacles when
manoeuvring.

The guide lines in the media display show the
distances to your vehicle. The distances dis‐
played only apply to road level.

System limits
The cameras will not function or will only parti‐
ally function in the following situations:
There is heavy rain, snow or fog.

The light conditions are poor, e.g. at night.
R
The respective camera lens is obstructed,
R
dirty or misted up. Observe the notes on
cleaning the cameras (
page 299).

Cameras, or vehicle components in which

the cameras are fitted, are damaged. In this
event, have the cameras, their positions and
their setting checked at a qualified specialist
workshop.
The field of vision and other functions of the
reversing camera may be restricted due to addi‐
tional accessories (e.g. licence plate bracket or
bicycle rack).

The display contrast may be impaired due to
incident sunlight or other light sources. In
this case, pay particular attention.

Have the display repaired or replaced if, for
example, pixel errors considerably restrict its
use.
