Self-Test Results Messages:
These self-test result messages appear in the middle column of the System and
Test Status screen.
Message What It Indicates
B8ZS/LOS Fail The access unit failed to
transmit all ones or to
detect Loss of Signal.
CPU Fail The CPU failed internal
testing.
DSX-1 T1 Fail The NAM failed to internally
loop data on the DSX-1
circuit.
Failure xxxxxxxx
An internal failure occurred
(xxxxxxxx represents an
eight-digit hexadecimal
failure code for use by
service personnel).
Memory Fail Access unit failed memory
verification.

Record the failure code before resetting the access unit; otherwise, the error
information will be lost.
