Before lighting the boiler
• Check the tightness of the gas system.
• Check correct expansion vessel precharge.
• Fill the hydraulic system and make sure that all air contained in the boiler and the system has
been vented.
• Make sure there are no water leaks in the system, DHW circuits, connections or boiler.
• Make sure there are no flammable liquids or materials near the boiler.
• Check correct connection of the electrical system and efficiency of the grounding system.
• Fill the trap (see cap. 2.7 "Condensate drain connection").
IF THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT OBSERVED
B

OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION. ALSO, THERE MAY BE A
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK OR FLOODING THE
ROOM.
First boiler ignition
• Make sure there is no draw-off of hot water and room thermostat requests.
• Turn on the gas and check that the gas supply pressure ahead of the unit complies with the
technical data table or in any case the tolerance provided for by the regulations.
• Turn on the power to the boiler, the display shows the software version number of the control
unit and the display and then FH and Fh air venting cycle (see cap. 1.3 "Connection to the pow-
er supply, switching on and off" on page 303).
• At the end of the Fh cycle, the winter mode screen will appear on the display (fig. 11), make
the temperature adjustments: heating flow and DHW outlet (fig. 14 and fig. 15). Check if the
value of flue parameter, P68 - *** '- Transparent Parameters Table' on page 331 ***, is suitable
for the length of flue installed.
• In case of a gas change (G20 - G30 - G31 - G230), check if the relevant parameter is suitable
for the type of gas used in the supply system ( and cap. 3.1 "Adjustments" on page 328).
• Put the boiler in DHW or heating mode (see cap. 1.3 "Connection to the power supply, switch-
ing on and off" on page 303).
• In Heating mode, do a request: the radiator symbol flashes on the display and the flame ap-
