ASSEMBLY
Installation: The installation is to be in accordance with the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 and local codes.
1. Mounting bracket
Note: The mounting bracket depicted will vary
depending on the model.
. Remove the four sets of side screws from mounting
bracket and save for future use.
Wooden ceiling
. Drill two mounting holes in the ceiling joist. Securely
attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling or
wooden ceiling as indicated below (fig. 4a).
Normal masonry ceiling
. Securely attach the mounting bracket to an outlet
box marked "Acceptable for Fan Support ", using
the supplied outlet box screws with lock washers
(see FIg. 4b).
2. Attach blade to motor
. Remove three screws from flange cover and
lift the cover set aside. Remove three screws
from top plate located on the motor yoke. Lift
top plate and set aside.
. Time Saver: Washers can be set on each blade
screw prior to installing blades.
. Locate 15 blade attachment screws and washers in
hardware pack. Slide blade through centre band and
align holes. Insert 3 blade attachment screws and
washers with fingers. Tighten securely with a
screwdriver. Repeat for the remaining blades.
. Reattach flange cover to motor yoke and install it by
aliging the keyslot holes on the motor yoke using
previously removed screws (see Fig. 5).
Note: The reverse switch must be placed in the
rectangle hole labelled on the top plate.
3. Drop-mount and hands-free wiring
. Slide downrod through canopy and flange cover.
. Thread electrical wires through downrod and pull
extra wire slack from the upper end of the downrod.
. Loosen yoke set screw and nut and remove pin and
clip if preinstalled. Place downrod into the motor
housing yoke and insert pin and clip. Tighten yoke
set screw and nut securely (see Fig. 6).
