7. Installation

On installation, the minimum distance
be twe e n the hob and the hood must be
e xactly complie d with (se e chapte r 7.1
"Installation data") and follow the num-
be ring of the ste ps and the additional
instructions. Exe cution with air e xhaus-
ted outdoors (A- see also the installation
data). The vapours are e xtracte d via an
air exhaust hose fixed to the connector
ring.
The diame te r of the e xhaust air hose
must conform to that of the conne ctor
ring. If a smoke non-return valve is used
or is planned, check whether it can open
and close freely after the installation of
the exhaust air hose. The extractor hood
can be e quippe d with one (top) or two
(top and back) extractor openings.
The hood is normally initially fitted out
for use of the top extractor opening, as an
extractor hood.
Openings not required are fitted with a
plastic cove r. This plastic cove r can be
e asily re move d by turning counte rclock-
wise and optionally fitted to another ope-
ning which is not required.

4.2 Carbon lters
Traditional carbon filters (normally round
in shape) can be ne ithe r washe r nor re -
generated. In normal use and depending
on their size, replace every 4 to 6 months.
Comply with the relevant instructions on
the package.

to ceramic and cast cooking hobs 65 cm.
to gas hob 70 cm.
to hobs with coal/oil/wood firing 85 cm.
