a steady LED indicates that the engine is operating normally,
but there is one or more faults with the engine electronic
management system. A flashing LED indicates that there is
one or more faults and the engine is operating in a derated
mode.

Engine Stop Indicator

The Engine Stop Indicator illuminates for 5 seconds when the
key switch is moved to the RUN position. After that period,
the LED indicates the engine is either shutdown or an engine
shutdown is imminent.

Glow Plugs Wait to Start Indicator

The Glow Plugs Wait to Start Indicator illuminates when
the key switch is moved to the RUN position. Wait until the
indicator goes out before starting the engine.

Tier 4 Interim Digital Display (Optional)

The forklifts equipped with the Perkins 1204 Tier 4i engines
may have an optional digital control display (Figure 32)
mounted on top of the dashboard in the operator cabin. This
Digital Display is used to control the regeneration process
mandated by tier 4 interim emissions regulations.
While operating the forklift, refer to the instructions chart,
part number 17419-000 located on the machine dash board
under the load chart.
Figure 33 presents a brief description of the Digital Display
faceplate features and controls.

The keypad on the digital display is a capacitive touch sensing
system. There are no mechanical switches to wear or stick.
