Safety Information
A suitable material pairing for the casing, sealing plate and sealing ring is to be selected for the conditions
in which the valve is used. If you have any doubt, please consult JAUDT.
JAUDT vario butterfly valves with levers may cause burn injuries if they are used for substances with a high
processing temperature. In these cases you must wear gloves.
On powered JAUDT vario butterfly valves the drive unit is to be fitted with a suitable guard to ensure that it
cannot cause injury. This guard is to be provided by the system manufacturer.
If necessary the safety officer and/or the environmental officer is to be notified before work is commenced.
JAUDT vario butterfly valves are state of the art. Nevertheless they can cause damage and personal injury
if they are not operated correctly. We warn you about these risks in the form of suitable instructions. These
instructions are highlighted by special symbols.
The directives of the Accident Prevention Regulations are to be followed to the letter

This symbol alerts you to a danger that constitutes a risk to personnel.
Danger of material damage!
This symbol alerts you about action that may cause damage to the JAUDT bucket wheel
feeder.

Areas of Use
JAUDT Vario Butterfly valves are suitable for free-flowing powdery to fine-grained bulk goods of all kinds,
including products of the food industry. For other applications, in particular gases and liquids, we would be
happy to offer specialist advice.
They are not suitable for aluminium and decomposing media.
The quality of the sealing ring and the sealing plate should be chosen in accordance with the purpose of use
and the medium to be transported (temperature, aggressive properties, etc.).
