Operating manual DKV 6008… Description JAUDT Vario Butterfly valve are used for the metering and containment of materials transported in pipelines. They are manufactured in the highest quality according to the most modern production methods and are robust, close tightly and have very low maintenance requirements. -

In these cases you must wear gloves. On powered JAUDT vario butterfly valves the drive unit is to be fitted with a suitable guard to ensure that it cannot cause injury. This guard is to be provided by the system manufacturer. -
Page 4: Transport And Storage
Transport and Storage JAUDT Vario Butterfly valve may only be transported and stored in the „slightly open‟ position, i.e. with no pressure on the sealing element. Storage temperature +12° C to +20° C, relative humidity approx. 65 %. -

3.2.2 Installation Instructions The installation of JAUDT Vario butterfly valves can be carried out by skilled workmen without the need for special tools or fixtures. Before installation, check the following: The opposing flange surfaces must be parallel. -

Connection to power is the sole responsibility of the user and his own qualified personnel. The instructions from the motor manufacturer regarding start-up, maintenance and installed position must be observed. This information can be supplied by JAUDT if necessary. Technical Data – Rotating actuator (PDA) With distribution with a rotating actuator PDA - the technical documentation is supplied of this operating manual. - Page 8 Operating manual DKV 6008… Accessories JAUDT Vario butterfly valves can be equipped with limit switches to acknowledge the position „OPEN - CLOSED‟. The limit switches are pre-adjusted at the factory. The setting must be checked on start-up and re-adjusted if necessary.

JAUDT Vario butterfly valves in continuous use or being used in extremely critical areas should be serviced annually. The maintenance work always includes the above-mentioned inspections.

Cleaning agents containing acid and alkaline solutions must not be used. Foodstuffs: If food is to be metered, clean the JAUDT butterfly valve under running drinking water and with a soft brush. If heavily soiled, use commercially available detergents. Make sure that these detergents are not toxic and do not form toxic compounds. -
