Inspection and Maintenance

The following information refers to DIN 31051 "Terminology and action for maintenance".
4.1
Inspection and Adjustments
The following inspections are to be carried out every 6 months:
Danger of injury!
Before completing any maintenance work, switch off the power supply (electrical and
pneumatic) to powered JAUDT butterfly valves and inform the control room if necessary.
a) Visual check of condition, leak-tightness and cleanliness
b) Check tightness of screws and fitments
c) Operation of the JAUDT Vario butterfly valve
with hand-lever; check for ease of movement
with drive; check for noise and ease of movement
d) Check connections (electrical und pneumatic)
e) With pneumatic rotating actuator (PDA) and cylinder
check functioning of solenoid valve
f) Check pneumatic supply, remove water if necessary (user)
g) With electric servo drive (Deufra)
check electrical connections
check for leak-tightness and oxidation
check tightness of PG screw fasteners and plastic plugs
h) By JAUDT Vario butterfly valves with pneumatic-cylinder, check angular adjustment
Loosen lock-nut of the ball at the end of the pneumatic cylinders
Adjust zero-point of the sealing plate by turning the piston rod of the cylinder
Tighten lock-nut of the ball
i) By JAUDT Vario butterfly valves with pneumatic rotating actuator (PDA):
The PDA has a turning angle of 90
of the sealing plate.
Loosen lock-nuts on both sides of the PDA and turn the socket-head screw until the sealing plate
closes in an optimum manner
Tighten lock-nuts
NOTE:
This adjustment must be carried out on both sides of the PRD.
j) Check limit switch
Check limit switch condition and functioning. Check tightness of accident prevention guard.
