The switch will prompt for a username and password. This is the same as the password for
the web interface.
Once you have successfully logged into the switch a command line will be presented and you
can enter management commands.
The Telnet interface supports two operation modes: the command line mode and the termi-
nal mode. The command line mode is used to control or display configuration parameters. In
terminal mode pass-through access to serial port one is activated. All inputs are redirected to
the device on serial port one and its responses are displayed on the Telnet interface.
The following list shows the command mode command syntax
help
Displays the list of possible commands
cls
Clears the screen
quit
Exits the current session and disconnects from the client
version
Displays the release information
terminal
Starts terminal pass-through mode for serial port one. The key sequence 'esc' 'exit' switches
back to command mode. This command has an optional parameter (1 or 2) to select the
desired serial port for pass-through access.
