Seats and Restraints
Danger
With head restraints that are not
installed and adjusted properly, there is a
greater chance that occupants will suffer
a neck/spinal injury in a crash. Do not
drive until the head restraints for all
occupants are installed and adjusted
properly.
Height Adjustment
To adjust the head restraint upward, pull
the head restraint upward to a proper
position and adjust. To move the head
restraint to its original position, press and
hold the release switch.
To adjust the head restraint downward,
press and hold the release switch and push
the head restraint downward to a proper
position; then, release the release switch for
adjustment.
Warning
To avoid injury, do not push the head
restraint too hard while a finger is on the
release switch.
Front Seats

Seat Position

When you sit on the seat, make your hip
as close to the backrest as possible.
Adjust the distance between the seat and
the pedal to make your leg slightly bend
when you press the pedal. Move the
passenger side seat shall slide as far back
as possible.
When you sit on the seat, make your
shoulders lean on the backrest as far back
as possible. Recline the seatback so you
can reach the steering wheel while
slightly bending the arm. Keep the
shoulders leaning against the backrest
while turning the steering wheel. The
backrest shall not incline excessively
backward. The seatback angle should not
be greater than 25 degrees
Set the seat height so that all displays
and controls can be seen.
Thighs should rest comfortably on the seat.
Warning
You can lose control of the vehicle if you
try to adjust a driver seat while the
vehicle is moving. Adjust the driver seat
only when the vehicle is not moving.
