2. Press the clutch pedal.
If the conditions above are met, the green
indicator on the ENGINE START STOP button
will illuminate. In this case, if the
transmission is in N (Neutral), press the start
button and the engine will immediately
start.
Other Control Instructions
1. Emergency start
The brake or clutch switch failure will
make the start conditions unable to
be met, and the engine cannot start
normally. Turn the ignition to the
ACC position, confirm that the
transmission is in N (Neutral) and
then press and hold the ENGINE
START STOP button for 15 seconds.
This will start the engine.
A low transmitter battery may cause
the system to fail to search for the
key and thus the engine fails to start.
In this case, press the clutch pedal,
and at the same time attach the side
of the transmitter with the emblem
close to the ENGINE START STOP
button. When the green indicator on
the ENGINE START STOP button
illuminates, press the button to start
the engine. Try again if this does not
work. Replace the battery in the
transmitter.
2. Emergency shut off
If emergency shut off of the engine is
required when the vehicle is running,
press and hold the ENGINE START STOP
button for two seconds or continuously
press for three times within
three seconds.
Danger
Never operate the ENGINE START STOP
switch when the vehicle is running.
Accidental vehicle flameout may suspend
braking and assistance of the steering
system. The driver could lose control of
the vehicle causing severe damage and
the possibility of a crash causing death.

Parking

When the parking brake is used for
parking, the button shall be released after
parking. When parking on a ramp, pull
the parking brake as tightly as possible
and press the brake pedal at the
same time.
Driving and Operating
Shut down the engine and turn off the
ignition. Turn the steering wheel until the
steering wheel is locked.
When parking the vehicle on an uphill
ramp, turn the front wheels away from
the road shoulder.
When parking the vehicle on a downhill
ramp, turn the front wheels toward the
road shoulder.
Caution
Flammable objects could touch hot
exhaust parts under your vehicle and
ignite. Do not park over papers, leaves,
dry grass or other things that can burn.

Continuously Variable

Transmission (CVT)

Your vehicle may be equipped with a
Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
A CVT can continuously change the
transmission ratio, which is equivalent to
having innumerable gears, making gear
shifting smoother.
