bag cover.
Other Situations Where the Air Bag May Be
Inflated (Deployed) Except for Collision
If the vehicle bottom is impacted seriously,
the air bag may also be inflated. Refer to
the following examples.
Hit a road shoulder, sidewalk edge or
hard surface
Fall into or drive into a deep pit
Land hard or fall
Seats and Restraints
The Frontal Air Bag May not Be Inflated in
the Following Collisions
The frontal air bag will usually not inflate in
side collisions, rear-end collisions, turnover
or low-speed head-on collisions. No matter
what kind of collision, only when the vehicle
generates sufficient forward deceleration will
the frontal air bag be inflated.
Head-on collision angle over 30° from
vehicle longitudinal direction (range A and
range C)
