Before removing the keyboard top cover, follow these steps:

Shut down the computer.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and

then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Release the keyboard top cover from the base enclosure:

Remove the rubber foot closest to the rear of the computer to reveal 5 base enclosure screws.
