I. Important notes
1. Check up your Kärcher HD 1000 SEi EEx for any damage caused in transit immediately after
unpacking it. If you find such damage, please return the machine to us at once, complete with
accessoires, delivery note and an accurate description of the damage.

2. Electrical connection

– The voltage of your power supply must agree with the data on the machine's rating plate (beneath
the motor switch).
– The power supply must be protected by a 16 A (USA 30 A) fuse.
– Live components, cables and appliances in the work area must be in a good condition and hose
proof.
– The machine comes standard with a plug. If this plug does not fit your power socket, have the plug
or socket changed by a qualified electrician.

3. Water supply

– The water feed rate must be at least 16 litres/min (3.5 gals/min.).
– The water temperature must not exceed 20 °C.
– Observe the regulations of your water supply
authority.
– Attach the handlebar (packed loose in the box) as
shown in the illustration. Tighten down the screws
securely.
– Vent the pump without the HP hose. Flush out the machine with pressurized water (In case of
suction mode, switch on the machine).
– Attach the high-pressure hose (13) to the trigger gun (14), spray lance (15) and vario nozzle (16)
and couple to high-pressure connection (12) (on front panel).
– Remove plastic cap from water-connection (2) – rear of machine. Fit appropriate
water hose (1) and connect to water tap.
– Before using machine for first time, cut off the tip of the oil reservoir cover (22).
– Never draw in unfiltered water or fluids containing solvents (e.g. paint thinners, petrol, oil etc.).
