V. Troubleshooting
Fault
1. Machine will not start
2. Machine does not build
up pressure
3. Water jet irregular
4. Water jet changeover
does not function
5. No detergent intake
Remarks
After a long period of standstill it is possible that the sealings start leaking during reoperation.
Leakage of three drops/minute is considered as normal.
If your machine needs servicing, take it together with the accessories to your nearest Kärcher
service centre. In the event of material or manufacturing faults within the warranty period, your
machine will be repaired and returned free o charge.
Cause
1. No power to machine
2. Motor overheated
3. Electrical fault
1. Pump drawing air
2. Water filter blocked
3. Pump not vented
4. Pump or relief valve faulty
1. Changeover nozzle blocked
2. Water supply insufficient
3. Safety relief valve out of
adjustment
Ball in changeover nozzle stuck
1. Suction filter blocked
2. Changeover nozzle blocked
3. Nozzle inserts blocked
(pressure rises)
4. Ball in injector check valve
stuck

Remendy
Check cable, plug and socket
Open trigger of gun, after machine
has cooled down switch on motor
switch again
Call in after sales service
Check water hose; open water
supply
Clean filter
Switch off machine, pull trigger of
gun and switch on machine,
repeate procedure as necessary
Call in after sales service
Blow compressed air through
nozzle; if necessary clean with
pin or similar
Operate machine in suction mode
with receiver tank
Call in after sales service
Tap gently against nozzle
Clean filter in pickup
Blow compressed air through
nozzle; if necessary clean with
pin or similar
Unscrew injector, take out nozzle
insert, clean and refit
Remove suction hose, insert short
piece of wire in intake opening
until ball in valve lifts off its seat,
reassemble
