The optical handheld reader requires little maintenance. Below, you will find several useful
tips on upkeep and maintenance.
To ensure optimum performance of the optical handheld reader, the window of the optical
handheld reader must be clean. The window is the colorless plastic part in the head of the
optical handheld reader. The optical handheld reader works with CMOS technology in much
the same way as a digital camera. A dirty window could have the result that the optical
handheld reader is no longer capable of reading barcodes.
If the window is dirty, clean it with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or a cosmetic wipe (without
lotion and not impregnated) and a little water. You can also use a mild cleansing agent: Then
