Cleaning the unit and the remote control

NOTICE
Damage to unit due to incorrect cleaning!
▶ Do not directly splash or pour water onto them.
▶ Do not use hot water, thinner, abrasive powders or strong solvents.
▶ Clean indoor unit and remote control by wiping them with a soft cloth.
▶ Only have the outdoor unit cleaned by an approved contractor.

Cleaning the air filters

The filters should be cleaned every two weeks.
▶ Switch off the appliance.
▶ Open the top cover ( Fig. 3).
▶ Push the air filters up slightly to unlock them.
▶ Pull the air filters down to take them out.
▶ Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust.
▶ If the filters are dirty, wash them with warm water and a mild
detergent.
▶ Dry filters in the shade before reinstalling.
▶ Reinstall the filters and close the top panel.

Cleaning the top panel

The top panel can be removed for cleaning.
▶ Open the top panel.
▶ Lift the cover to almost horizontal position and pull it out ( Fig. 4).
▶ Clean the top panel with a soft cloth.
▶ Hold the top cover horizontal and push the long shaft ( Fig. 5), [1]
into the guide [2] from the top side until it clicks.
▶ Close the top panel.

Cleaning the airflow panel and the horizontal air flow
louver
The airflow panel and horizontal airflow louver can be removed for
cleaning.
CAUTION
▶ Do not touch the louver when the unit is operating.
▶ Use remote control to open the airflow panel: When the unit is not
operating, press the
button for over 3 seconds on the remote
control.
▶ After the panel stops its movement, turn off the circuit breaker.
▶ Unlock the lever [1] of the air baffle by pushing the lever to right side
and remove the air baffle ( Fig. 6).
▶ Press the lock lever [2] and slide them to the centre, then take the
horizontal airflow louver out [1] ( Fig. 7).
Warning buzzer will go off if the power supply is kept on.
▶ Clean the airflow panel and the horizontal airflow louver with a soft
cloth.
▶ If the louver is dirty, wash it with warm water and mild detergent. Dry
it in shade.
▶ Install the horizontal airflow louver: Push the horizontal airflow
louver, slide it back into the original position until there is a click.
▶ Insert the right shaft [2] of the air baffle [4] into the hole [3] of the
device ( Fig. 8).
▶ Push the lock lever [5] to the right side and fit the centre shaft of the
air baffle on the hook [1] of the device.
▶ Insert the lock lever shaft [5] into the hole.

NOTICE
The airflow panel can't work properly when the lever is unlocked.
▶ Check if the airflow panel is well locked. The orange area must not be
visible.
▶ Turn on the circuit breaker.
▶ Use remote control to close the air baffle. Press the Stop button or
the
button on the remote control for more than 3 seconds.
When the warning buzzer goes off after cleaning.
▶ Turn off the circuit breaker.
▶ Check that the horizontal airflow louver is properly installed.
When the airflow panel does not close after cleaning.
▶ Turn off the circuit breaker.
▶ Check that the airflow panel is properly installed.

Cleaning the plasmacluster ion unit (PCI unit)

Regular cleaning allows for a stable release of high concentrations of
plasmacluster ions. Clean the PCI unit ( Fig. 9), [1] every 6 months.
▶ Use the remote control to open the air baffle [2]: press the
for longer than 3 seconds if the air conditioner is not operating.

▶ After the panel stops its movement, turn off the circuit breaker.
▶ Press the top side of the PCI lock ( Fig. 10), [1], then rotate it
downwards.
▶ Slide the PCI unit ( Fig. 11), [2] to the right side, until both marks
match each other [1]. Support the PCI unit during this procedure to
avoid it from falling off.
▶ Take the PCI unit out.
NOTICE
▶ Do not touch the terminals ( Fig. 12), [2] of the PCI unit.
▶ Be wary of deformation of the electrode area [1].
▶ Use the PCI brush [3] or the swab (sold separately) to clean the area
around the PCI electrode [1] from dust.
CAUTION
Danger of children swallowing the PCI brush.
▶ Keep the brush away from children.
▶ For installation follow the steps above in the opposite direction.
Use the swab with little water to clean stubborn stains.
5.7

Replacing the plasmacluster ion unit (PCI unit)

Replace the PCI unit if the blue plasmacluster lamp flashes 10 times after
the air conditioner unit starts operation.
The blue plasmacluster lamp will flash for about 1 minute after the unit
starts operation, indicating that the PCI unit will stop generating the
plasmacluster ions.
▶ Contact your dealer to buy a new PCI unit for replacement.
