Faults

4.1

Perceived faults

The following conditions do not denote equipment malfunctions.
Perceived fault Cause/Description
Unit does not operate The unit can stop operating for up to 3 minutes
to protect itself.
The unit will not operate if it is turned on
immediately after it was turned off. The unit
will not operate immediately after the
operation mode is changed.
Unit does not send out The unit is preheating or de-icing.
warm air
Odors Carpet and furniture odors that entered into
the unit may be sent out from the unit.
Cracking noise This sound is generated by the friction of the
unit expanding or contracting due to change of
temperature.
A low buzzing noise This is a sound of the unit generating
plasmacluster ions.
Swishing noise The soft, swishing noise is the sound of the
refrigerant flowing inside the unit.
Mist seen at indoor air In cooling mode, this is caused by the
outlet difference between the room temperature and
the discharged air temperature.
Water vapour In heating mode, water vapour may flow out of
the outdoor unit during de-icing.
The outdoor unit does After stopping operation, the outdoor unit will
not stop rotate its fan for about 1 minute to cool down
the unit.
Odor emitted from the This is the smell of ozone generated from the
plasmacluster air plasmacluster ion generator. The ozone
outlet concentration is very small, posing no adverse
effect on your health. The ozone discharged
into the air rapidly decomposes, and its
density in the room will not increase.

Faults not indicated

Fault Remedy
If the unit fails to Check if the circuit breaker has tripped or the

Faults with indication

A fault on the appliance can also be indicated by the sequential flashing
of the following lights:
• ON indicator K (green)
• Timer lamp (orange)
• WLAN lamp (green)
The number of flashing signs specify the number of the fault codes.
When the fault 23 – 4 occurs for example, the ON indicator K (green)
flashes twice, then the timer light
WLAN light (green) flashes 4 times.
Error code structure
The error code consists of a main code and a sub code:

Retrieving the error code
▶ Press / on the Temp. button for over 5 seconds when the indoor unit
and remote control is off.
The remote control displays 00 and there is a beep sound from the
unit's buzzer.
▶ Press . or / on the Temp. button to change the number step by
step between 00 and 31.
– The buzzer makes a long beep if the displayed main code number
belongs to an active error (23 in the example above).
– Otherwise the buzzer makes a short beep.
▶ Press the Fan button once.
The remote control displays – 0.
▶ Press . or / on the Temp. button to change the number step by
step between – 0 and – 7.
– The buzzer makes a long beep if the displayed sub code number
belongs to an active error ( – 4 in the example above).
– Otherwise the buzzer makes a short beep.

Maintenance

CAUTION
Danger due to electric shock or moving parts
▶ Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any maintenance
work.
▶ Have any maintenance steps that are not listed here carried out by an
approved contractor.
5.1

Change of seasons

Before and after change of seasons perform the following for proper
operation:
▶ Operate the unit in self clean mode to dry the unit.
▶ The unit will stop operation after 90 minutes or stop the operation by
pressing the Stop button on the remote control when completed, and
turn the circuit breaker off.
▶ Inspect air filters and remove for cleaning.
▶ Reinstall air filters and check for any obstructions on the inlet and
outlet of airflow.
