Adjusting the air damper

To regulate the air damper, do the following:
1st stage adjustment
 Loosen the nut 1), adjust the screw 2), and bring the indica-
tor 3) to the required position.
 Tighten the nut 1).
2nd stage adjustment
 Loosen the nut 4), adjust the screw 5), and bring the indica-
tor 6) to the required position.
 Tighten the nut 4).
 For type 985T
When the burner stops, the air damper closes automatically
to a max. depression at the flue of 0.5 mbar.
For type 986T
When the burner stops, the air damper remains open at the
opening position of the 1st stage.

Adjusting the flame detector

The flame detector leaves the factory calibrated in position 4
Fig. 21.
It consists of:
– a potentiometer 3) for adjusting sensitivity
– a LED 1) indicating sensitivity
– a LED 2) indicating operation
During pre-purging, LEDs 1) and 2) are unlit.
Permanent operation is indicated when both
LEDs are lit up.
WARNING
To adjust, proceed as follows:
 Adjust the indicator of the potentiometer 3) by turning anti-
clockwise until LED 1) blinks, thereby defining the minimum
value of the notch.
 Adjust the indicator of the potentiometer 3) by turning clock-
wise until LED 1) has a permanent light. Consider the set-

ting final as the minimum value detected by increasing by
one or two notches.
 After a pause of at least five minutes, check that this adjust-
ment permits the proper start up of the burner.
