Reinforcing the Bass Sound

The Hyper Bass Sound function provided for this unit can
enhance the bass sound and reduce the bass sound distortion
while listening to any source at low volume.
You can use this function only for playback.
To turn on the function, press HYPER BASS
SOUND (HBS on the remote control) so that the
HBS indicator lights up on the display.

To turn off the function, press the button again so that the
HBS indicator goes off from the display.

Selecting the Sound Modes

You can select one of the 5 preset sound modes. This function
only affects the playback sound, but does not affect your
recording.
To select the sound modes, press PRESET EQ
until the sound mode you want appears on the
display.
• Each time you press the button, the sound modes change as
follows:
ROCK
FLAT
CLASSIC
When using the remote control, press EQ to select the sound
mode.
SEA (Sound Effect Amplifier) modes:
ROCK: Boosts low and high frequency. Good for
acoustic music.
JAZZ: Good for jazz music.
POP: Good for vocal music.
CLASSIC: Good for classical music.
FLAT: Normal sound.

Ensuring Good FM and AM Reception

FM reception: Pull out the antenna and reorient it for better

AM reception: Reorient the main unit for better reception.

• Make sure the antenna conductors do not touch any other
terminals and connecting cords.
• Keep the antennas away from metallic parts of the unit,
connecting cords, and the AC or DC power cord.
