Precaution
Replace the brush assembly when the brush is worn. The relative height and contact
pressure to the slip ring are automatically adjusted when the brush assembly is
installed according to the procedures below.
The adjustment after replacement is not required in this case. Never clean the brush
surface with cleaning cloth moistened with cleaning fluid.
Preparations
1. Turn off the power.
2. Remove the upper frame.
(Refer to the maintenance manual Part 1, Section 1-6.)

The brush assembly can be replaced with the cassette compartment installed.

. Torque screwdriver bit (for M2):

Removal
1. Brush cover removal
Remove the two screws, then remove the brush
cover.
