Fasten screws A and B. Tightening torque
1-2 Nm, Carry out a function check of the chain
brake to ensure the hand guard has been correctly
fitted.
8.3 Dismantling the throttle lockout,
throttle and spring

Dismantle the drive wheel cover, saw chain and
bar.
Separate the crankcase.
Refer to "Basic dismantle/assembly".

Lift away the throttle lockout and throttle control
from their fastenings in the handle and unhook the
recoil spring and trigger switch piston from their
attachments in the throttle control.
See figure 7.
Cleaning and inspection
• Clean and check all parts thoroughly. Parts must
be replaced if cracked or showing signs of other
defects. Always use original spare parts.
• Check that the recoil spring is intact and retains
all its tension.
