9.6 Dismantling the trigger switch
S/N – 20151600245

Dismantle the drive wheel cover, saw chain and
bar.
Separate the crankcase.
Refer to "Basic dismantle/assembly".

Remove the main sensor and cable.
Separate contact (B).
See figure 11.

Take loose the contact (C) using a small screw-
driver to carefully free the catches (D) on each end
of the contact and trigger switch from each other.
NOTE!
Do not pull the wires. Take special care to
avoid damaging the contact (C).
See figure 12.

Loosen the screws (A 2x) and remove the battery
contact from the crankcase.
See figure 13.

Disconnect the red wire from the battery contact.
Hold down the leaf spring (X) in the connector with
a small screwdriver to release the pin (Y) and then
pull out the cable.
NOTE! Do not bend the pin.

Cleaning and inspection
• Clean and check the trigger switch. The trigger
switch must always be replaced with a new one
if cracked or showing signs of other defects.
Always use original spare parts.
See figure 15.
