Radio Wave and EMC Precautions

8.1 Radio Wave Precautions

The radio modules built into Wireless Positioning Units (EPU-220) and Transceivers (EPC-200-CC,
EPC-210-EIP) use the 2.4 GHz frequency band.
For this reason, please read the following radio frequency precautions carefully and use the product
correctly.
Our company assumes no responsibility for any damage sustained due to incorrect use by the
customer or third party use, malfunctions or other problems that may occur during use, or due to
the use of this unit, except in cases where liability is legally recognized.
In the frequency band used by this product, there are radio stations for mobile identification
(radio stations that require a license) and specified low-power radio stations (radio stations that
do not require a license), which are used in medical electrical equipment, industrial and chemical
equipment, and factory production lines. There is a possibility of radio interference in these places,
so please check the influence of radio waves before use.
Microwave ovens, digital cordless phones, wireless LAN, Bluetooth devices, etc. use the same
frequency band. To avoid interference with these devices, keep them separated from each other.
(Depending on the environment, radio waves may not reach the device.
If you are using a pacemaker or other medical equipment, check with the manufacturer of the
medical electrical equipment in question, or with a medical institution or distributor about the
effects of radio waves.
Do not use the product near electronic equipment that handles high-precision control or weak
signals.
